Killing Veerappan, stars Shiv Raj Kumar as Senthamaraikannan, the office behind the man hunt. Sandeep Bhardwaj, a student of National School of Drama, is making his on screen debut in the film as Veerappan.
Ram Gopal Varma, who was highly impressed with Sandeep's acting, recently said, "Never in my career have I seen a more dedicated and a more methodical actor than Sandeep. It's not an exaggeration to say that he actually started thinking like Veerappan."

More than a decade after the gruesome killing of dreaded brigand Veerappan, Ram Gopal Varma attempts to unveil the operation behind his hunt with Killing Veerappan. While the plot sounds so good as it comes with a slew of untold details, the execution is where the film seems to have suffer. This has been the problem with RGV. He is so good in picking up the plots of his films. In fact, one can say that RGV has mastered the art of choosing his subjects. But as usual, he suffers while translating it on to the screen. This happens to his Killing Veerappan Review as well. However, compared to his previous films, this is somewhat better.
